Job Overview

The Field Technical Specialist is accountable for achieving established goals for service maintenance and quality over existing contract with the highest customer satisfaction. He/she plans, prioritizes, follow up and reports on all service-related activities within his/her assigned region (Triveneto).

Main Responsibilities

  • Achieve goals for service activities and customer satisfaction on CMI equipment.
  • Monitor the equipment in the assigned area to plan and optimize the service itself and the company costs (equipment efficiency, travel, labor utilization)
  • Participate, as a member of the team, in the development and implementation of annual Plans that align with the strategic plans of Cantel Medical Italy.
  • Participate as a member of the team to develop effective account servicing strategies and capitalize on new service opportunities
  • Monitor customer satisfaction results and measure results against standards routinely.
  • Develop plans with sales personnel to improve customer satisfaction with service activities.
  • Assure the set up on new equipment supporting promptly the sales force input
  • Assure strong customer and Sales department relationships
  • Jointly with the Technical Service Manager identify key accounts where there is a need or potential for service and develop strategies which will optimize product revenues and service activities.
  • Participate as a member of the team to identify new ways to differentiate Cantel Medical service from competitive service offerings.
  • Attend service management meetings, trade shows, and sales meetings as needed.
  • Discuss and evaluate reoccurring complaints with product management and R&D.
  • As required, submit accurate, timely, and complete reports regarding field service activities, issues impacting the business and service performance, and results.
  • Provide assistance/consultations to customers in site preparation for equipment installations.
  • Provide technical support as required during selling processes.
  • Identify sales opportunities and pass the information on to the appropriate sales person
  • Any other required duties

Qualifications

 

- Associate degree in Electro-mechanics or equivalent is preferred.

- This position requires three or more years of electro-mechanical experience and a demonstrated ability to successfully activities in the field service in a small to medium company.
- The position requires analytical/technical ability, communication and planning skills and ability to implement plans to positively impact results. 

- The position requires an ability to work independently to ensure customer needs are met.

- Must be very customer oriented and results driven.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Must be competent in multiple software applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

 - Required to travel approximately 60 – 80%.
