Job Overview

This position will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company’s multi-site payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information and participate in daily data entry processing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and accurate processing of weekly and bi-weekly multi-state payrolls using ADP.
  • Enters and verifies all employee and company related information into ADP system.
  • Handle various payroll adjustments (i.e. shortages, garnishments, wage orders, special pays ETC.)
  • Ensure back-up documentation and record retention is in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Perform quarterly and year-end tasks, including validation of ADP federal, state and local filings, archiving of tax reports, filing and payment of non-ADP state taxes, and issuance of W-2 forms.
  • Assist with annual and periodic audits.
  • Communicate with federal and state agencies to resolve tax discrepancies. Register or close new state accounts when needed.
  • Prepare periodic payroll analysis and reports as needed.
  • Maintain all personnel records and update employee information accordingly.
  • Assist employees with payroll related inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent related work experience may be acceptable.
  • 5+ years of related experience in Payroll utilizing ADP.
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish a Plus.
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and time sensitive information.
  • Strong Microsoft Suite required.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, and of payroll and tax reporting and compliance required.
  • Must possess good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Strong analytical ability, good judgment and strong procedural focus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
