HEALTHCARE DISPOSABLES

Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Tax Accountant to support all aspects of the tax department and provide timely and accurate tax accounting, compliance, and analysis for Cantel Medical and Subsidiaries. This position is responsible for preparing tax returns, processing and compiling financial data or records, calculating and processing payments, compiling tax information and documents, preparing account analysis work and issuing the resulting reports.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare Federal, State, and Local Income and Franchise Tax Returns using tax compliance software.
  • Assist with international tax reporting (Forms 5471 and 1118).
  • Analyze tax data provided by Cantel Medical’s subsidiaries including state and local apportionment information.
  • Preparation of quarterly Federal and state estimated payments and extension payments.
  • Manage/calculate depreciation and amortization expense for various US subsidiaries and integration of new acquisitions into our internal depreciation system.
  • Effectively respond to all state and local income tax notices
  • Act as primary point of contact for all state and local tax matters
  • Prepare other various tax filings including OH CAT, NJ Sales and Use, and Report of Foreign Bank Accounts
  • Research tax issues using the on-line tax service and prepare memoranda documenting conclusions.
  • Assist with year-end tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 and related Form 10K footnote disclosures.
  • Assist with the review of tax provisions data and calculations prepared by subsidiaries.
  • Gather documentation and provide analysis to support tax positions under audit for federal and state purposes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 2+ years tax accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or large multi-national corporation
  • Prior experience with OneSource Income Tax and/or OneSource Provision software highly preferred
  • Must be proficient in MS tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, enabling effective communication with all levels of management
  • Must be able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and the ability to integrate across multiple and varied business areas
  • Driven and motivated to get results; takes initiative; follows through on deliverables.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
