Job Overview

The Field Service Installer is accountable for assisting MCP installer on the installation of water purification equipment at various customer locations within the directed, established time frame. The installer is responsible for the installation of the equipment and safety and quality testing according to MCP standard guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

Assists in the installation of water purification equipment at various customer locations within the direct, established time frame.

  • Maintenance of accurate records and paperwork and communication of all data on customer sites.
  • Ability and desire to learn basic water chemistry and water treatment equipment.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Ability to complete basic plumbing tasks including work with Sched 80 PVC per MCP Workmanship Standards.
  • Ability to complete basic electrical tasks including work with high and low voltage electrical per MCP Workmanship Standards.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Problem solver
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Ability to read, understand and follow Quality System documentation/
  • Within first 12 months of employment, be able to install and commission pretreatment equipment, install distribution piping/tubing, and connect wall boxes without supervision.
  • Basic computer skills required including basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Clean driver’s license required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Ability to manage and maintain confidential and proprietary information.
  • Good organizational skills

Qualifications

 

  • An ideal candidate typical possesses a High School diploma (or equivalent), a two-year technical degree in Electronics, Plumbing or Biomedical Electronics; or equivalent experience.
  • WQA Certified Installer (CI) certification within first 12 months of employment
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules including nights, weekends and holidays on short notice.
  • Up to 100% travel as projects are located around the country.
  • Little to no experience actual Field Installation and/or Servicing Water Treatment Equipment.
