Job Overview

The Commercial Finance Analyst will work alongside the FP&A Manager to manage the build-up of all financial plans (Budget, Forecasts and Multi-Year Strategies), monitor and challenge performance and help enhance reporting. This candidate will be a key member of the Division Finance Team and will help in the transformation of the Finance Organization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Partner with and support the Sales, Product Management & Marketing teams
  • Support the FP&A Manager in developing and communicating the build ups for the Annual Budget, Forecast Updates and Strat plans
    • Manage the revenue and margin build ups for all submissions, ensuring accountability is assigned
    • Assist in the Commercial Department's expense build ups and challenge as necessary
    • Manage both internal and HQ deadlines for Budget, Forecast and Strat Plan submissions
    • Provide support on key decisions on headcount investments and resource deployment
  • Owner of Commercial Dashboards – build, maintain & improve reporting
    • Weekly Sales Reports
    • Average Selling Price
    • Margin / Volume / Mix
    • Discounts / Rebates
    • Order Book Coverage / Book to Bill Performance
    • Product Line Performance
    • Customer Performance
    • Specific Region/Country/End Market Commitments
  • Review and challenge commercial performance on an on-going basis, ensuring Budget and Forecast commitments are met
  • Partner with the Commercial Team to drive the annual and periodic price review process across the Division
  • Assist with modest Month End close responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred
  • ERP experience and BI reporting systems preferred
  • Strong Excel modelling skills with database experience would be an advantage
