Job Overview

The Strategy and Business Development Intern is responsible for the creation of business models in support of the global commercial strategies for Medivators, namely analysis of business development opportunities. The Strategy and Business Development Intern will work with global, cross functional employees of Cantel and Medivators to drive M&A strategic analyses to completion. The Intern will also meet with outside stakeholders or resources to determine optimal revenue modeling approaches, identify and check key assumptions, and for other needed insights. The Intern will work with his or her supervisor to scope the deliverable list with more specificity upon joining the team. Upon completing the internship, deliverables will include presentation of key findings, delivery of the models and analyses, and recommended strategy enhancements.

This is a part-time temporary position.

Main Responsibilities

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

 

  • Assess business development opportunities by developing company profiles and strategic rationale for potential acquisitions
  • Build revenue forecast that accurately and efficiently support decision-making for M&A activity
  • Gather insights from multiple internal and external sources to optimize strategy and market models
  • Recommend prioritization according to key business and commercial needs related to M&A with supervisor support

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate for Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or other related field.
  • Strong undergraduate candidates will be considered.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business opportunities with a variety of inputs and market insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent Excel and modeling skills.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and presentation development skills.
  • Initiative and teamwork skills; able to work in high performance cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starting and willing to reach out to and collaborate with others.
  • Acts with full accountability and a high sense of urgency.
  • Conducts business in a very ethical and professional manner; carries a positive attitude and operates with integrity.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Employee must be able to sit at a work station for extended periods of time.
