Job Overview

This position will serve as a resource with an expert level of knowledge in the areas of warehouse process management, global trade compliance and strategic multimodal transportation planning. Requires a proactive approach in identifying problems and initiating solutions to provide quality service for all customers while optimizing costs and productivity.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support of the development of the optimal logistics strategy that best meets the worldwide customer contract requirements, worldwide inventory optimization, and worldwide SIOP requirements.
  • Strategy development includes global network analysis, strategic 3PL and 4PL/LLP analyses, implementation strategies and supplier relationship development.
  • Support the global import/export requirements, including trade and security regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for the global carrier/forwarder contracts, pricing, problem resolution, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Responsible for global freight claims processing, including freight classifications for all new products.
  • Responsible for special shipment coordination.
  • Responsible for duty/tax management reporting and minimization strategies.
  • Support the integration of the elected logistics strategies with the overall company business goals and objectives.
  • Gathers information about operations in to measure effectiveness, improve processes, resolve problems and optimize operational expenses and customer service levels.



Bachelor’s Degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.




  • Ability to manage complex projects while successfully meeting budget and schedule constraints and project objectives.
  • Ability to work proactively in a global environment developing strong linkages at all levels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting and finance to analyze costs and benefits of a strategy, project or initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Import/Export Compliance and Security Regulations.
  • Experienced in selecting, implementing and managing 3PL and 4PL/LLP suppliers.




  • Minimum 7 years experience.
  • In depth understanding of international transportation regulations, INCOTERMS, HTS classification, NAFTA, CTPAT, Binding Ruling, etc.
  • High level understanding of international business practices, trade and finance, including letters.



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CTL (Certification in Transportation and Logistics) and or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) desirable.
