    Endoscopy procedure disposables include single-use valves and irrigation tubing. Medical device reprocessing systems, disinfectants, detergents and other supplies are used to disinfect high-level endoscopes. This segment is operated through MEDIVATORS.


    Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc.  and MEDIVATORS.


    Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

    Job Overview

    The Project Engineer manages cross-functional teams to accomplish the tasks necessary to assure that the overall project goals are delivered on-time, within budget, and all performance requirements are met. This position manages the development of new products & continuous improvement initiatives to existing products utilizing the design control process that is part of the Medivators quality system. Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills are critical as well as ability to perform in a constantly fluctuating and fast paced environment.
    The Project Engineer must be able to work with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Regulatory, Operations and Upper Management to refine the customer requirements, budgets and prioritization of projects. This person should have a good understanding of how each project benefits both the company and the customer. This person must be able to effectively lead a minimum of three large and company critical projects (5 to 20 project members) and manage many additional medium and small projects.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Define and recommend a project team and gain approval from management for team member support.
    • Create an environment where team members feel free to speak and know that their concerns will be addressed.
    • Able to gain consensus and agreement (buy-in) from the team and management to support decisions.
    • Make decisions and adjustments to project direction, schedule, and resource allocation based upon data and facts obtained from the project team.
    • Provide positive feedback to team members for a job well done, and offers suggestions to improve when appropriate.
    • Understand and follow the procedure product design control procedure.
    • Refine the customer requirements provided by marketing into measurable terms.
    • Create the product specification from the product requirements.
    • Defines and develops a project plan, schedule, resource requirements, hazard analysis, project cost estimates, and other required documents.
    • Manage the project’s progress towards established goals and identifies and communicates project risks that may affect the expected outcome.
    • Assure that the product requirements have been met through testing and analysis.
    • Resolve problems that arise during development.
    • Track project expenses and product cost and performance against scheduled milestones.
    • Review and approve reports and documentation generated by team members.
    • Resolve resources issues and project conflicts between team members and the organization.
    • Participate in completion of the project tasks as needed.
    • Some domestic and international travel may be required.
    • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


    • This position may have direct responsibility for select team members.
    • This position has a responsibility to manage interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships of the team members to insure project goals are met.
    • This position manages the team interaction with senior staff and any customer relationships that may exist.
    • All team member performance, priority, and conflict related issues need to be resolved through the team member’s line manager.


    • BA or BS Degree in a Science or Engineering field
    • Minimum of 5 years related (medical device strongly preferred) manufacturing engineering and/or R&D experience and/or training of which includes two years’ experience in a Project Leadership capacity required
    • Project Manager (PMP) certification is preferred
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to objectively analyze data provided by team members to assure that conclusions are valid.
    • Ability to visualize an overall picture of the project tasks and their interrelationships in order to identify potential conflicts or problems.
    • Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical reports,
    • Communicate complex information clearly in verbal and written form, effectively present information to senior staff (Phase reviews, project updates) and represent the company during on and off site meetings with entities outside the company.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit and work on a computer.
    • ISO 9001 and / or ISO 13485 experience is preferred
    • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts, understand mathematical operations for statistical analysis of test data, financial data, and budgets.
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
