    WATER PURIFICATION AND FILTRATION

    Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc.  and MEDIVATORS.

    HEALTHCARE DISPOSABLES

    Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

    Job Overview

    Primary responsibilities include training new employees/contractors, monitoring day to day assembly line needs for building, materials and products. Ensure Takt times are being met as determined by daily demand and sub-assemblies are being supplied to ‘supermarket’ or ‘Kanban’ in a timely manner when necessary. This person will also be able to fill in as needed in assembly positions but will spend approximately 75% of their time facilitating the needs of the employees to ensure quality products are continuously coming off the line. This position is responsible for being the Area Leads ‘second set of eyes’ for their designated areas and will escalate any issues they (the Value Stream Leader) cannot handle to their respective Area Leads.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Provide work direction to operators
    • Troubleshoot wrong number of incoming parts quantities ensuring they are correct and in the proper location.
    • Make quality decisions to prevent defective product from being produced and reaching the internal and external customer. Confer with Area Lead when unsure of how best to proceed.
    • Assemble various parts and accessories as needed on assigned value streams.
    • Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Manufacturing Procedures, Assembly Prints and Standard Work while ensuring others are doing so too.  
    • Work on a high paced assembly line assisting other team members during the work period. –Audit Standard Work, Hour x Hour / Performance Attainment, 6s Audits.
    • Produce desired number of products that meets quality expectations on a daily basis.
    • Maintain General Cleaning as needed and ensure 6S procedures are being followed.
    • Must be a team player able to effectively communicate with others in a professional manner.
    • Works in a team environment with all levels of the organization.
    • Assist Area Leads with training staff on SOP's and manufacturing procedures and updating charts as requested. Procedure / Print updates (Redlines).
    • Able to give verbal or written assistance to adequately train employees while providing feedback to Area Lead on performance of employees.
    • Attend daily Tier III production meetings with assemblers and provide any relevant information.  I.e. Performance to Goal, Failure to hit target, Reason for failure and Plan to Remediate.

     

    • Identify Non-conforming material from the respective value stream and communicate it to Area Lead.
    • Ability to step into all Manufacturing roles in the value stream to cover breaks, meetings and absences. 
    • Elevate issues and clearly communicate to other areas such as Engineering, Quality or Supply Chain if directed by Lead or in their absence. 
    • Understand and monitor Hour by Hour Charts and all other line side metrics for respective Value Stream. May be asked by Area Leads or Manager to perform other tasks as required.
    • Help develop and sustain an environment of Continuous Improvement thinking throughout our Manufacturing Group.
    • Support and Lead Change effort and Continuous Improvement Initiatives in the Value Stream.
    • Drive a standard approach to problem solving in the Value Stream Team.
    • Follow Leaders Standard Work

    Qualifications

    • Must be able to assemble parts; stand/walk for an 8 hour period and achieve production goals
    • Must be able to lift 40lbs
    • Vision correctable to 20/20 or as necessary for parts that are being built.
    • Able to organize line staff to carry out the daily work orders with the highest level of quality, while efficiently and safely produced.
    • Must have excellent communication skills when working with others and maintain a professional attitude. 
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Must be able to write legibly, read and speak English, and complete basic math functions as necessary.
