    Job Overview

    This position will support the CMI Chemist in all formulations and product life cycle for new and existing chemical products in a manufacturing environment.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Prepare test solutions and other reagents for laboratory tests.
    • Prepare products formulations starting from raw materials. Balance the ingredients to achieve a stable formulation. Conduct test and record performance
    • Find the active molecules with micro and chemical properties.
    • Analysis and profiling of inorganic and organic compounds in own and competitors’ brands to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, microbiocidal efficacy, structure, relationships and reactions, utilising lab techniques and analysis.
    • Ability to develop new analytical method
    • Compile and analyse test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiencies and to diagnose malfunctions.
    • Write technical papers and reports; prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.
    • Observe company process and procedures
    • Act to be Compliant with all the health and safety company procedures and International, EU and local legislative and regulatory requirements (CLP, REACH, etc)

    Qualifications

     

    • Laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology and procedures including liquid chromatography, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Titration, Analytical scale, pH-meter, enzymatic kinetic process, chemical-physical analysis.
    • Know the main parameters to identify the stability of formulation
    • Identify the chemical molecules and analysis it through different laboratory techniques.
    • Develop on new analytical method including validation process.
    • Principles and practices of qualitative and quantitative inorganic chemistry, biology and bacteriology.
    • Principles of chemical, biological and physical analysis.
    • Mathematical calculations used in chemical analyses.
    • Excel, Word and Power Point ability.
    • Proper sample collection procedures and techniques according to International standards and pharmacopoeia.
    • Principles and procedures of record keeping.
    • Use of existing libraries, repositories and databases
    • Occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
    • Operate the standard laboratory equipment including liquid chromatography, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Titration, Analytical scale, pH-meter, enzymatic kinetic process, chemical-physical analysis.
    • Analyze and interpret test results. Conduct chemical and physical tests.
    • Effectively collect samples and specimens.
    • Conduct mathematical calculations.
    • Elaborate lab results using Excel.
    • Discuss the laboratory results using Report, excel data and power point presentation.
    • Maintain laboratory equipment.
    • Use computers and a variety of computer software programs.
    • Prepare clear, concise and technical reports.
    • Communicate in Italian and English clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
