    Endoscopy procedure disposables include single-use valves and irrigation tubing. Medical device reprocessing systems, disinfectants, detergents and other supplies are used to disinfect high-level endoscopes. This segment is operated through MEDIVATORS.



    Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc. and MEDIVATORS.



    Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

    Job Overview

    This position is responsible for managing environmental compliance, supporting operations, R&D, sales, install and service teams. Environmental compliance will include waste water, storm water, air emission, and hazardous waste. This role will also have responsibility for safety and will partner closely with the EHS Specialist(s). Program development and improvements will strive to achieve best practices by applying working knowledge of standards and regulations such as ANSI, NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and IBC. Proactive programs that meet the needs of the business will be emphasized, rather than reactive approaches.

    Main Responsibilities

    Environmental Compliance

    • Act as SME in industrial discharge and  industrial storm water prevention to ensure compliance with existing permits.
    • Develop water discharge white papers to facilitate internal and external conversations regarding product disposal under normal and spill conditions.
    • Provide dedicated support to the Revox R&D projects, including, but not limited to, air permitting, waste water permitting, laboratory set up, ventilation assessment, waste characterization, development of emergency procedures, exposure monitoring, and new equipment assessment. 
    • Work with Revox to update safety and environmental training material for customers.
    • Update procedures and maintain compliant programs for disposing Hazardous, Non Hazardous, and universal Wastes.
    • Work with manufacturing teams to ensure safe handling of chemicals. This may include industrial hygine sampling, collaborating on work instructions, and providing consultation on new chemicals.
    • Manage waste water and storm water discharge for compliance with local and federal regulations.
    • Perform environmental audits and provide improvement recommendations.
    • Assist in developing and leading implementation efforts for an Environmental Management Systems (EMSs) to the goal of obtaining ISO 14001 certification.
    • Maintain Tier II reporting.

    EHS Program Development and Management

    • Interpret and apply Federal, state and local regulations to local company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
    • Develop, maintain and support EHS department metrics, monitor and review progress.
    • Develop and/or maintain EHS auditing program for areas.    
    • Maintain EHS records for inspection during external and corporate audits.
    • Work with department to ensure programs, procedures, and work instructions are current and followed by employees.
    • Partner with operations to develop daily management.
    • Electronically maintain Safety Data Sheets to ensure compliance with OSHA.
    • Conduct in person EHS training and coordinate online training for personnel at all levels of the organization, which may include large group training sessions.
    • Provides support in review of new equipment and in the specifications of safety controls.


    • Work cross functionally to fully engage employees, contractors and vendors in the EHS process, expectations, and requirements.
    • Maintain vendor safety credentialing sites.
    • Create customized e-learning, bulletins, and other communication materials.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Biology, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
    • Master’s degree preferred.
    • A minimum of 3-6 years of experience working in relevant field.
    • Must have strong oral and written communication skills, together with strong organizational skills, prioritization and attention to detail.
    • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently or with others in cross-functional project teams.
    • Familiarity with OSHA, IBC, ANSI, EPA, and NFPA is required.
    • Experience providing Forklift and/or HAZWOPER training preferred.


    Additional REQUIREMENTS

    • This position may involve exposure to moving machinery, lift trucks, UV light, biohazards, and hazardous chemicals.
    • Ability to lift/carry 25 lbs.
    • Bend, stoop, kneel and/or stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to travel for special projects.

    • Technical knowledge – Working Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards.
