    Endoscopy procedure disposables include single-use valves and irrigation tubing. Medical device reprocessing systems, disinfectants, detergents and other supplies are used to disinfect high-level endoscopes. This segment is operated through MEDIVATORS.



    Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc. and MEDIVATORS.



    Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

    Job Overview

    The Lean Sigma Champion will join the Cantel Medical Global Business Excellence team and will be instrumental in deployment of the Company’s continuous improvement (CI) methodology in all business functions across the Cantel Medical organization with a primary focus at the Plymouth, MN facilities. This position is accountable for identifying and completing projects and key initiatives through the use of Lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management process improvement methodologies. The position will entail working with business leaders, managers, supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to ensure the Continuous Improvement program is deployed effectively. The manager will also provide technical support and coaching to the business leadership teams to grow the process improvement capabilities of the organization. This role will promote continuous learning and ensure ongoing training and development of all resources in the principles, techniques, and methodologies of Lean and Six Sigma through the Cantel Business Excellence System.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Identify and eliminate waste by driving a cultural shift in the organization to use Lean and Six Sigma tools on a daily basis.
    • Facilitate rapid improvement (Kaizen) events across multiple functions, levels, and sites to drive process improvements.
    • Lead and mentor Lean and Six Sigma projects to improve product and process quality across various manufacturing excellence groups.
    • Improve performance relative to safety, quality, delivery, flow, cycle time, cost, and customer satisfaction by delivering business results through enabling our functional groups.
    • Work with the business leadership to lead and guide strategic initiatives within the organization.
    • Facilitate weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational performance reviews.
    • Establish and monitor an effective continuous improvement project list to ensure we deliver our commitments.
    • Create regular cadence of problem solving review and coaching time. Ensure site grows in problem solving practice and use across all levels of personnel.
    • Develop structured approach to apply Lean and Six Sigma quality improvement tools and roll out training on tools to support staff.
    • In collaboration with functional leaders, identify areas where Lean and Six Sigma methodologies could be utilized to reduce process waste and process variations for improved results.
    • Support roll out and assessment of Cantel Business Excellence System (CBES) principles.
    • Ensures business targets are consistently met or exceeded by using CBES principles, Lean and/or Six Sigma methods and practices.
    • Report and communicate the results from process improvement efforts to key stakeholders including C-suite executive and other senior leaders.
    • Provide education and training to departments on the use of various Lean and Six Sigma tools and assist them with the appropriate utilization of these tools to reduce waste.
    • Develop and share best practices across divisions and businesses and among fellow process improvement coaches and clients.
    • Manage, coach, and mentor project teams to ensure timely completion and achievement of project deliverables.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, participating in societies, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks’ and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
    • Mentor all employee Lean Sigma practitioners, as needed, including on site Green and Black Belt resources.


    • Requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering, business, or technical discipline from an accredited college or university with three to five years of experience in Lean and Six Sigma improvements in manufacturing setting.
    • Experience in process improvement implementation in regulated industry preferred.
      • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and/or FDA CFR standards desired.
    • Demonstrated ability to create strong working relationships and lead the work of others.
    • Proven project management and process improvement skills including strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
    • Lean Black Belt required or experience which demonstrates Lean Black Belt equivalency
    • Six Sigma Green Belt required with Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
    • Experience training others in the use of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools, and experience with Lean approaches to improvement such as value stream mapping, kaizen, 5S, pull systems, visual management, work leveling, and A-3 thinking
    • Proficient in MS Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
    • Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data and draw logical conclusions.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

    Travel Requirements:

    • 20-40% as required.
