    Endoscopy procedure disposables include single-use valves and irrigation tubing. Medical device reprocessing systems, disinfectants, detergents and other supplies are used to disinfect high-level endoscopes. This segment is operated through MEDIVATORS.



    Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc. and MEDIVATORS.



    Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

    Job Overview

    The Global Facilities Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing building projects, including but not limited to construction, vendor/service contract management; move management, materials procurement, and serves as the district representative in planning and developing facilities and new construction ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines. Primary responsibilities include daily facility project management relating to facilities construction and planning.

    This person must demonstrate an ability to standardize processes and manage suppliers, service providers and staff to execute work activities, projects. The successful candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills and leadership qualities. The Facilities Project Manager must understand the interdependencies between Cantel Medical business needs and facility functionality and apply that knowledge in cost effectively meeting those needs.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Collaborates with others (e.g. executive leadership, departmental personnel, organizations through the Cantel businesses, etc.) for the purpose of implementing construction services and/or programs.
    • Manage projects (e.g. site repairs/construction projects, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completion within established time frames, project design and budget.
    • Monitors project fund balances of assigned projects and related financial activity for the purpose of ensuring that expenses are within budget limits and fiscal practices are followed.
    • Performs due diligence and post M&A activities to ensure accurate assessment and remediation for property, plant, equipment and environmental health of target locations.
    • Manage and approve site improvement projects for appropriate specifications, costs, quote package, contractor selection and contract terms.
    • Researches new products, laws, regulations, etc., for the purpose of recommending purchases, contracts and maintaining organization wide adherence to industry best practices, codes and regulations.
    • Provide leadership and direction for procurement activities, ensuring that facility space, furniture, supplies, equipment and services are purchased at the most competitive market price
    • Develop project development process at all phases: Inception (scope, budget and schedule development), design, bid and negotiation, construction (budget and scheduled status).
    • Track all active facilities related project budgets and schedules to ensure that all are meeting goals and milestones.
    • Manage and oversee construction projects, and update AutoCAD plans as needed.
    • Develop specifications, select and qualify suppliers, award and monitor construction and maintenance services contracts, and conduct periodic reviews with contractors and service providers
    • Plan, schedule, and manage contractors and personnel performing construction activities and monitor to ensure work is performed as contracted.
    • Review quotes and negotiate pricing with suppliers, contractors and service providers, and approve based on cost, quality and delivery competitiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with local and International standards to promote facility security and staff health and safety.
    • Develop and promote environmental stewardship consistent with best practices to reduce, reuse and recycle resources to eliminate waste and control costs
    • Define and recommend a project team and gain approval from management for team member support.
    • Create an environment where team members feel free to speak and know that their concerns will be addressed.
    • Able to gain consensus and agreement (buy-in) from the team and management to support decisions.
    • Make decisions and adjustments to project direction, schedule, and resource allocation based upon data and facts obtained from the project team.
    • Provide positive feedback to team members for a job well done, and offers suggestions to improve when appropriate.
    • Defines and develops a project plan, schedule, resource requirements, hazard analysis, project cost estimates, and other required documents.
    • Work with cross functional team to establish comprehensive design inputs and requirements sets.
    • Manage the project’s progress towards established goals and identifies and communicates project risks that may affect the expected outcome.
    • Resolve problems that arise during development.
    • Resolve resources issues and project conflicts between team members and the organization.
    • Participate in completion of the project tasks as needed.
    • Some domestic and international travel may be required.
    • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.



    • There are no direct reports for this position.
    • This position has a responsibility to manage interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships of the team members to insure project goals are met.
    • This position manages the team interaction with senior staff and any customer relationships that may exist.
    • All team member performance, priority, and conflict related issues need to be resolved through the team member’s line managers.


    • Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering field or an equivalent combination of education, training, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred and experience; IFMA (FMP, SFP and/or CFM) a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities operations, building management, engineering or construction;
    • International, multi-site experience is a plus.
    • Must have sound understanding and practical experience in Lean methods, understanding process flow and ability to facilitate 3P and seven alternatives processes.
    • MS Windows/Outlook proficiency a must, as well as a working knowledge of AutoCAD
    • Ability to design, plan and manage construction projects and office moves
    • Understanding of concepts and practical experience with planning, scheduling, and project management.
    • Ability to prioritize conflicts and effectively manage multiple projects and assignments under time constraints and changing priorities.
    • Hands on and/or management experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security systems.
    • Knowledge of all federal, state, and local codes and ordinances pertinent to facilities planning, design, and maintenance desired.
    • Experience in construction management and have working knowledge in relevant topics (eg. architecture, engineering, legal contracts, financing, environmental conditions, public approvals)
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships at all levels of internal and external organizations
    • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
    • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Travel as needed to fulfil responsibilities



    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 33% sitting, 33% walking, and 34% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
