    Endoscopy procedure disposables include single-use valves and irrigation tubing. Medical device reprocessing systems, disinfectants, detergents and other supplies are used to disinfect high-level endoscopes. This segment is operated through MEDIVATORS.


    Life Sciences 

    Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc. and MEDIVATORS.



    Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

    Job Overview

    Place purchase orders for non-inventory materials, equipment, services, supplies and repair items to support the business. Review quotes, generate purchase orders, monitor open orders, expedite, and monitor supplier performance ensuring they meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives. Seek opportunities that drive continuous improvement in cost, delivery and quality. Act as the Medivators primary point of contact for all issues and activities associated with items and services purchased from suppliers of assigned commodities. This position will be a key contributor to indirect sourcing initiatives that support the needs of the business.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Issues purchase orders for supplies, equipment, services, and materials by preparing requests for quotations and submitting purchase orders with approved suppliers.
    • Manages the purchase orders including the delivery date and change orders.
    • Maintains accurate lead times for assigned commodities.
    • Partners with key stakeholders in R&D, IT, Manufacturing, and Facilities to ensure their procurement needs are met and assist on projects as requested
    • Negotiates and settles damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes with suppliers.
    • Provides parts, equipment, and materials information by answering questions and requests. Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
    • Monitors and evaluates supplier performance. Advises appropriate personnel of impending supplier failure to fulfill contractual agreements that may delay production or delivery.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing trade publications, establishing networks, and/or participating in professional associations.
    • Resolves shipment quality discrepancies by mediating supplier/manufacturing issues. Facilitates the resolution of issues by arranging and participating in conferences between suppliers and company personnel.
    • Supports and potentially runs Requests for Proposal for items of limited scope and complexity. Help select suppliers and negotiate price, delivery, quality and service.
    • Develop alternate sources of supply when necessary by identifying and researching prospective suppliers.
    • Maintain accurate purchasing files in entering and closing out purchase orders in ERP system.
    • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and the ability to demonstrate everyday incremental improvements within job scope.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g. continuous improvement).



    • BA or BS degree and a minimum of two years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of MRP and manufacturing support systems.
    • Familiarity with ISO, FDA and GMP requirements preferred. ISM CPSM and/or APICS CPIM or CRIM Certification desirable.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communications.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work well within cross-functional team environments.
    • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, team members, team leaders, and top management.
    • Effective persuasion skills and the ability to influence others.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.


    • Ability to remain in a stationary position to utilize standard office tools.
    • Move about office and manufacturing area as necessary.
    • Operate office equipment (i.e., computer, calculator, copy machine, fax machine).
