    Endoscopy procedure disposables include single-use valves and irrigation tubing. Medical device reprocessing systems, disinfectants, detergents and other supplies are used to disinfect high-level endoscopes. This segment is operated through MEDIVATORS.


    Life Sciences 

    Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc. and MEDIVATORS.



    Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

    Job Overview

    The Associate Category Manager - Indirect Procurement is responsible for managing assigned categories and working with the Indirect Procurement team to maximize value of Cantel’s spend. They will own planning, implementation and execution of category strategies. The Associate Category Manager will also be expected to partner across all of the Cantel Companies to leverage purchasing power and systems while improving processes and reducing the overall total cost of ownership. They will collaborate with sites across the geographies to implement Corporate-wide initiatives and best practices. The Associate Category Manager must be able to build relationships both internally and externally and become a subject matter expert and trusted adviser to the rest of the Cantel Organization. They must be able to influence others and be an agent of change to help drive value across Cantel. This individual must be results driven about customer service, continuous improvement, supplier relationship management, cost reduction, utilizing tools, and ensuring compliance.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Assess spend, develop methodologies for category strategies and support the process to generate category strategies to manage all aspects of the category to achieve world-class performance levels. Work with stakeholders and drive market research for the various strategies
    • Work with operations and site leaders to optimize total cost of ownership
    • Assume a leadership role in source selection, contract negotiations and administration of complex contracts including internal spend analysis, preparation of bid packages, proposal analysis and evaluation, contract negotiations, supplier selection/recommendation, contract award and program administration in support of global initiatives.
    • Develop robust supplier agreements that include requirements, deliverables, SLA’s, and deliver incremental value to the organization while mitigating risk to Cantel
    • Partner with business or function within the organization to complete work assignments
    • Utilize program and project management tools and techniques while managing multiple projects and deadlines
    • Drive standardization in purchasing methodology throughout the company, with input to global strategies, policies, processes and systems
    • Communicate with all levels of management throughout Cantel
    • Report performance to key metrics and project status as required
    • Ensure compliance to Cantel policies and processes
    • Provide subject matter expertise on “Best in Class” Indirect Sourcing practices


    EDUCATION/ Experience Required
    • Bachelor’s or advanced degree with a supply chain or business focus

    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Procurement (preferably Indirect) or Supply Chain
    • Experience with project management, time management and communication planning
    • Experience drafting contracts and leading supplier negotiations 




    • Strong cross-functional team facilitation skills
    • Ability to influence for results in a matrix organization 
    • Proven demonstrated results producing significant cost savings/value
    • C.P.M. or CPSM Certification preferred
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to provide change management and accelerate change
