    Endoscopy procedure disposables include single-use valves and irrigation tubing. Medical device reprocessing systems, disinfectants, detergents and other supplies are used to disinfect high-level endoscopes. This segment is operated through MEDIVATORS.


    Life Sciences 

    Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc. and MEDIVATORS.



    Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

    Job Overview

    The Director of Clinical Affairs is responsible for managing the clinical team to ensure pre-clinical and post-clinical programs for all product lines within Cantel. This position will manage the global clinical strategies for optimizing clinical studies, analyzing the results and reviewing clinical study protocols. The Director of Clinical Affairs will be the strategic clinical adviser to senior leaders and partner cross-functionally with all levels in the organization.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement clinical strategy for Cantel.
    • Provide vision and leadership within and external to areas of responsibility. Contribute to the development of personnel within research and development.  Act as a mentor within research and development to provide both career guidance and professional development.
    • Lead and develop staff to ensure clear communication, meaningful employee development, and motivation.
    • Manage, design and implement pre-clinical studies and post-clinical programs for all Cantel product lines.
    • Design clinical trials and studies in collaboration with internal stakeholders to align with corporate strategies.
    • Develop scientific podium and publication strategy for clinical data.
    • Oversee analysis of data and composition of presentations/reports/manuscripts resulting pre-clinical and clinical studies.
    • Synthesize literature and competitive information across product lines and relate it to Cantel clinical data.
    • Manage customer engagement and participation in clinical studies.
    • Lead cross-functional partnership with marketing, sales, operations, R&D, RA/QA to ensure optimal use of clinical data.
    • Maintain global policies, procedures and processes, product information and required clinical documentation.
    • Proactively contribute to the development of the annual budget from an integrated functional prospective. Monitor progress against budget and inform management of deviations with specific correction recommendations.  Define the need for incremental spending needs to achieve company goals.          
    • Demonstrate and lead by the Cantel Values and Leadership Principles.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Biology or related clinical field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
    • Clinical/medical licensure: RN, NP, PA, MD or equivalent.
    • 15+ years’ experience working in clinical research.
    • 8+ years’ related industry experience.  
    • Strong analytical skills and proactive problem-solving skills are critical to success.
    • Must be flexible and perform a variety of complicated tasks (multitask) with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Position requires good interpersonal skills, clear and concise communication skills, and teamwork in dealing with people at all levels in the company.
    • Must be proficient with personal computers, Excel and financial software.
